Hey ...anyone out there?


I started this blog thang most certainly by accident.

Abby, this is your fault.

Anyway, I indeed did finish the Chicago 2007 Marathon. This was my first go 'round with a full marathon and while I feel very proud to have completed this I have an unsatisfied feeling about the whole thing. For crying out loud Oprah had a better time than I did on the very same course. I don't care if it was blazing hot and humid out there. Nothing against Oprah, but...this will not stand as George HW Bush would say.

Anyway, it just so happens there is a marathon in my hometown on October 28 and I plan on running it. I put a plan together to toe the line being fresh as a daisy - and in pretty good shape too. I hope to finish in less than 4 hours.
